During the early phase of production, Digital Domain’s Virtual Production team was involved in pitching and prototyping a narrative experience telling the Chinese story of The Monkey King. Working with our internal creative departments on the IP, our team utilized our Virtual Production stage toolset to virtually block out the actions in VR of each scene and built passive game systems to support the narrative. The complete 5 min pitch experience resulted in the green-lighting of the experience seen in the video above.
